Caballos Arabes

The IV Equus Arabians International  Spring Festival took place on 4^th and 5^th of July, starting on Saturday, at 18.00h opening the stables. At 20.00h, it was time to see the horses offered at auction. The horses were presented by the hand, one by one, fillies, colts, mares and stallions. Everybody saw the international quality horses at the auction, with offspring of Marwan al Shaqab, Gazal al shaqab, Padrons Psyche, WH-Justice, Ali Jamaal, Khidar and Madras Kossack. But there were also some beautiful mares in foal to stallions as: Sanadik el Shaklan, Gazal al Shaqab, Besson Carol, Magnum Psyche, Khidar, Xclusive Psy, Perfect de Lafon and BS Specific. When the presentation of the horses finished, Santi Serra surprised everyone with his new show, this time with a three year old filly.

Equus Arabians organized dinner for al VIP members at 22.00h offering a nice meal, and a bottle of Cava, meanwhile people could visualize videos from the horses on a big screen. After dinner, it was party time, with some nice music, and people dancing, having a great time.

On Sunday the stables opened at 10.00h, and the horses were shown in liberty at 12.30h showing their movements.  So now it was time to officially open the auction at 14.00h. Meanwhile people had lunch, once more, organized by Equus Arabians for VIP Members, offering typical Spanish food, like "Jamón" a big Paella for each table, and of course some nice wines. There was also a bar with food and drinks for non VIP members. After lunch, the last presentation started, where people could drink some nice "mojitos" while the horses were show for last time by the hand. But then the rain came on, and we had to follow with the auction in the stables at first, and then ended in the VIP lunch and dinner room. Everybody was offered some drinks and coffee.

The offers of the horses were very good, but that correspond with the high international quality. At the end, 17 horses were sold, at a total price of 374.100€. The sold horses will now go to their new home's in Morroco, France, Portugal, The Netherlands, England and Spain.
